Migraine disease affects 47 million Americans – 75 percent of whom are women. Although headache is one symptom, attacks can include visual disturbances, nausea, extreme light and sound sensitivity, brain fog and debilitating pain.
Migraine affects about one in seven people and is the second-most debilitating disease on the planet. It is a serious neurological disease that often runs in families and affects three times as many women as men. CBS Sunday Morning Susan Spencer talks with experts and those affected by migraine disease.
