KUTV Fresh Living Appearance
June is migraine and headache awareness month. Nearly one in four households in the U.S. has someone living with the condition. It’s more than just a headache. In fact, the World Health Organization (WHO) found thatsomeone who lives with migraine disease loses on average two and a half years of healthy life. By this standard, migraine has emerged as the third highest cause of disability in the world for people younger than 50 years old. Dan Henry, M.D., Executive Director of Danielle Byron Henry Migraine Foundation and Melissa Piercey, a parent advocate, join KUTV Fresh Living to talk about an event coming up called “Shine Her Light” on Friday June 21st at the Gallivan Plaza.
