Cultivating Self-Compassion: 5 Practical Rituals
In a time that often starts to feel busy and overwhelming, this program asks you to turn inward and create habits that remind you to be gentle with yourself.
These rituals are simple and practical. It’s the commitment of doing them every day that makes them come to life. What we think, we do. What we do, we become. We are our habits.
This program asks you to spend 2 weeks of your life living in a way that is extraordinarily kind to yourself.
How it works and what you get
For 2 weeks, we’ll follow these rituals.
- Meditate. 5-10 minutes daily. We’ll share recordings so you can practice a guided meditation or do it on your own.
- Move. At least 5 minutes each day. This can be a walk, a yoga class, a bike ride, a swim. It’s up to you.
- Mantra. We’ll talk about this during our first Zoom meeting. This is something you can repeat to yourself throughout the day. (Examples: I am enough. I am whole and complete just as I am. I deserve selfcare. I am lovable.)
- Connect. Connect by disconnecting all electronics 1 hour before you go to sleep and for the first hour upon waking.
- Gratitude. Keep a journal by your bedside. End each day by writing down (at least) 3 things you are grateful for in your day.
Opportunity to Share
We’ll set up a private WhatsApp group that each of you can share and be a part of. Participate as much or as little as you like. Download the free mobile app WhatsApp (iPhone / Android / Mac). We’ll use this to communicate with each other throughout the month. Why are we using this app? 1) It keeps us off other social media. 2) It’s an easy way to communicate with a group of people.
